The Walnut Spindle Pub Chair is the chair you picture in an old ale house: a shaped crest rail carried on tall round spindles between two posts topped with turned finials, over a solid timber seat dished for comfort.
A solid seat is the easiest surface a taproom can own. There is nothing to stain, tear or recover; spilt beer wipes off and the lacquer takes daily sanitizer. Splayed legs joined by stretchers give a stable stance on uneven concrete and resist the racking that loosens joints when guests lean back.
The dark walnut tone hides scuffs and suits brick, black steel and copper. Because the chair is light and has no upholstery, it is quick to lift onto tables at closing. If you want a little more comfort, add a tie-on or fixed upholstered seat pad in commercial vinyl.
It works at dining height around plank, round and four-top tables, and mixes well with our Hoop-Back Spindle Chair for a deliberately collected look.
