Built for the floor at 10 p.m. on a Saturday

Taproom furniture takes more abuse than almost any restaurant seating: wet glasses, dropped growlers, kids, dogs, dragged stools and sanitizer twice a shift. We spec sealed timber, powder-coated steel and cleanable upholstery for that reality, and we leave off the fragile details that look good on opening night.

Communal tables that actually seat the crowd

Long tables are the heart of a beer hall, and the hardest piece to get right. We size length, width and leg position so a row of eight sits without knocking knees, and we brace the frame so it doesn't rack when the whole bench leans in to hear the band.

Stools, booths and chairs from one shop

Stools, booths and chairs from one shop

Bar stools at the right height for your bar top, counter booths for the window rail, snug booths for the back wall and stackable chairs for event nights, all drawn as one family and shipped in one container, so your fit-out isn't waiting on five suppliers.

04How we work
  1. 1

    Send the floor plan

Share your layout, bar-top height, target seat count and how the room runs: table service, order at the bar, events. We come back with a furniture schedule and seat counts by zone.

  2. 2

    Drawings and finishes

We issue shop drawings for every piece, with heights, lengths, frame sections and upholstery, plus finish options for steel, timber stain and vinyl or leather.

  3. 3

    Sample if you need it

Order finish chips and upholstery swatches, or a full pre-production stool or chair, and test it at your own bar with your own regulars before the main run is built.

  4. 4

    Build and check

Production in our Foshan base, then assembly checks against the drawings: stool heights, glide fit, booth lengths and table level. Everything is packed and labelled by zone for easy unloading.

  5. 5

    Ship and set up

Sea freight on FOB, CIF or DDP terms. Tables bolt together with supplied hardware; booths arrive in sections ready to fix to the wall or floor.

07FAQ
How long should a communal table be in a taproom?

Allow about 24 in (61 cm) of edge per guest for drinking and 30 in (76 cm) where guests eat. An 8 ft (96 in, 244 cm) table therefore seats eight on two sides, or ten with one guest at each end. Tables longer than about 10 ft are usually built in sections or with three supports so the top doesn't sag or rack.

What height bar stool do I need?

Measure your bar top and subtract 10–12 in (25–30 cm). A 42 in (107 cm) bar takes 30 in (76 cm) bar stools; a 36 in (91 cm) counter takes 24–26 in (61–66 cm) counter stools. Taller bars of 44–47 in need 32–34 in spectator stools.

How far apart should bar stools be?

Plan 24–30 in (61–76 cm) centre to centre: about 24 in for backless stools, 26–28 in for stools with backs and 28–30 in for swivel or armed stools. Leave at least 6 in between seat edges so guests can get on and off without bumping neighbours.

What furniture materials hold up best to spilled beer?

Powder-coated or galvanized steel, sealed hardwood finished in commercial lacquer or polyurethane, sintered stone tops and commercial vinyl or leather upholstery. Avoid oiled or waxed finishes on tables, raw steel indoors and fabrics without a commercial cleaning code. Beer is mildly acidic and sugary, so it should be wiped up, not left to dry.

Can you build furniture for an outdoor beer garden?

Our taproom range is designed for indoor and covered spaces. For fully exposed beer gardens, ask us about outdoor-rated finishes — galvanized and powder-coated steel, and outdoor-grade timber or composite tops. We'll recommend what suits your climate and confirm it on the drawing.

Where is Ale Bench furniture made?

In EASEN Commercial Furniture's own production base in Lecong, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong, China — the world's largest furniture trading hub. We ship directly from the factory to your port or door; there is no local warehouse or middleman. Being the manufacturer means you deal directly with the people who draw and build your furniture.
