The Ladder-Back Cord Chair is about as honest as a dining chair gets: turned hardwood legs, two curved back rails and a seat of natural paper cord woven tight over the seat rails. In a light oak tone it brightens a dark taproom and pairs with pale plank tables, white tile and stainless steel.
Cord seats suit busy rooms. They breathe, they don't split like vinyl, and there is no foam to compress over time. The weave can be sealed so beer and water bead up and wipe away, and if a seat is damaged after years of use it can be rewoven rather than the chair replaced.
The open ladder back keeps the chair visually light, so a long row along a communal table doesn't wall off the room, and the rails give guests something to grip when pulling the chair out. The frame is lacquered for wipe-down cleaning; a darker walnut stain is available if your room runs dark.
Use it at four-tops, plank tables and along communal tables at about 24 in (61 cm) per seat.
