The Two-Post Plank Four-Top is the everyday dining table for a taproom with food: a rectangular top in a dark, wire-brushed timber finish on two slim black steel posts rising from a single long floor plate.
Two posts carry a rectangle far better than one. The top is supported at two points, so the ends don't dip when somebody leans on them to reach the nachos, and the low plate keeps all the weight at floor level without arms for boots to catch on. It also leaves a clean floor for the mop.
The timber top has a textured, open-grain surface that hides the knocks of daily service, finished in commercial lacquer that resists beer rings and sanitizer. Edges are softly rounded for comfort and to reduce chipping.
At 30 × 48 in (76 × 122 cm) it seats four, and two pushed end to end make an eight-seat table for a birthday group. Shorter tops make a 30 × 30 in two-top on a single post, so you can run one family across the whole room.
