The Woven Leather-Back Booth swaps the usual tufted or channelled back for wide leather straps woven in a basket pattern and stretched inside a dark-stained timber frame. It reads like a saddle or a tool belt, which is why it sits so naturally against brick, steel and brewing tanks.
The weave is more than decoration. Straps flex slightly as guests lean back, so the back feels supportive without padding, and a single damaged strap can be replaced without stripping the whole back. Beer and fryer grease wipe off leather far more easily than off woven fabric.
The seat is a separate, deep upholstered cushion with a contrast welt, mounted on a timber box that sits on a recessed plinth. The recess keeps boots off the seat front and leaves room for a mop. Shown with an oatmeal textured seat; for heavy taproom use we usually recommend commercial vinyl or leather on the seat to match the back.
We build it as single-sided wall runs or back-to-back double units, in lengths cut to your table spacing. Straps can be specified in genuine leather or a heavy leather-look material; frame stain and seat cover are your choice.
